FALL FOR THE BOOK
For the fall for the book event l chose to go too three events:micheal sims, poertry slam and sue miller.l first went to micheak sims presentation which was at 5pm in dewberry hall since it was raining.he talked about his book Apollo’s Fire:A day on Earth in Nature and Imagination.he described that the book was about his events in a day from the time he wakes up to the time the sun sets.he read the part of the book where he described the sun setting.he is also writing another book about national geographics in this book he wil be looking at evolution of both humans and animals, looking at how sexual reprodution creates a new being.
next l went to bistro were they was the poetry slam.people or rather students were allowed to participate.they had to recite poems and they were judges to see who wins. l liked the lady who presented a poem about the blood of a black women.
my last stop was the centre of the arts were sue millerwas presenting this is also werechinua achebe presented.from sue l think she writes more of the women issues like in the book she read The Senator’s Wife it was about aman who was cheating on his was at chrismas he sad he was going for a meeting whilst he was lying and the wife knew.she also wrote books like While l was Gone,The Distingushed GuestandThe Good Mother.
of all of the events l went to l liked the one by Sue.as she read the book you could actualy feel the emotioms and be part pf the book.l really enjoyed myself l learnt that writing is an art.
